There will be 11 Fun Classes. Entry fee £1 per class and entries
taken from 10am onwards. Judging from 11.30am.
Refreshments will be available and there will be a variety of stalls
inc Tombola, Raffle, GRWE Merchandise, Pet food,
Cards and Arts & Crafts. Due to the success of the show last year we may have to hire parking facilities, this will be clearly signposted and we may have to charge a small fee (£1) for parking to cover the hiring costs if applicable. Please come along it should be a great day!! Volunteers needed to help out on the day raffle and tombola prizes also needed. Day - from 11:00 - 5:00pm.
Reaseheath College is situated just outside the historic town of
Nantwich, CW5 6DF. This is a fun day out for all the family with
an action packed programme which includes Dog Agility displays,
miniature train rides, dairy and horticulture demonstrations, exotic
pets and much much more. There is an admission fee so please check
www.reaseheath.ac.uk for more information. We have been invited to have a stand at this event and our volunteers and hounds will be raising awareness and funds so please come along and say hello. We are hoping to bring along some of our handsome hounds who are currently looking for loving homes and our rehoming officer will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding taking on a retired greyhound or lurcher as a pet. For those of you who already know the joys of owning a greyhound it's a chance to have a 'greyt' day out whilst supporting your favourite charity. on the A51 the Garden Centre is signposted from Junction 16 of
the M6, see also www.stapeleywatergardens.com Come along and meet our own beautiful greyhounds and lurchers as we raise funds for our favourite charity! Our special boys and girls needing loving homes will have a day out from the kennels for this event, so please stop and give them a cuddle. Greyhound merchandise will be on sale giving you a chance to spoil your favourite hound(s). Why not try your luck on our popular tombola stall? If you would like to donate a prize for this please bring it along on the day. Relax with friends in the tea room or cafe. During the summer months seating is provided for those who like to picnic outside. Please note that whilst greyhound and lurcher owners are very welcome dogs are not allowed inside the garden centre or shop. | 6 August 2008 | North Devon Show, Belle Vue Aerodrome, Huntshaw Cross,
EX31 3ND. 8.00am until 6.00pm. This lovely one day show is
North Devon's premier agricultural spectacle. This annual event
is a celebration of North Devon's agricultural roots and a host of
livestock classes occupy arenas throughout the day with alpacas,
cattle, horses, goats, sheep, showjumping and an open dog show. They
are many attractions, displays, demonstrations and tradestands. GRWE
will have a stand at the show so volunteers and well behaved dogs
are required. Sponsor dogs Poppy and Heather will be on the
stand during the morning so please come along and meet them both! If

| 7 August 2008 | Honiton Agricultural Show, Honiton Showground, Honiton, Devon. 8am until 6pm. This is a lovely one day show that has grown over the years to become one of the largest 'one day' shows of its kind in the country. The show is held on a site of 140 acres, and represents a unique blend of traditional with the new in an agricultural setting where the emphasis is on agriculture and associated local activities first and foremost. It is a showcase for the best of local farming, crafts and rural skills. It draws exhibitors and visitors from all walks of life. Over 20,000 people attend the show and in the region of 1500 livestock entries are received. There are more than 350 trade exhibitors, which makes the show one of East Devon’s biggest business events. GRWE will have a stand at the show so volunteers and well behaved dogs are required. Dorchester, Dorset. Visit over 400 different tradestands at this
year's Dorset County Show, selling everything from wellies to windows
and tractors to truffles! This is a great family day out and we have
a stand selling GRWE Merchandise so come along and say Hi! The Show will be signposted from the Dorchester Ring Road. If you are approaching Dorchester from Yeovil (A37), Wimborne (A35) or Wareham (A352) follow the yellow signs. The Dorchester Showground is approximately 1 mile from the town centre inside the Ring Road. Turn towards Dorchester Town Centre at the Kingston Maurward College roundabout and take the first right. | 12 October 2008 | Walk at Stover Country Park, Newton Abbot, Devon between
11am and 4pm. Stover Country Park contains over 114 acres of woodland,
heathland, grassland, lake and marsh and a substantial variety of
wildlife. The Nature Interpretation Centre, is situated near the
entrance to the park and consists of a visitor centre, classroom,
rangers' office and public toilets. Additional recreation resources
include interpretation boards, aeriel walkway, a bird hide, a car
park and picnic areas with a mobile van selling ice cream, teas,
coffees and burgers etc. All dogs and their owners are very welcome. There are lots of signposted walks (some are suitable for buggies and wheelchairs) of differing lengthsdepending on how fit you feel. Plenty of parking. GRWE stand and Pets As Therapy stand.
